Lao PM Pays Homage to Cambodia’s King

PHNOM PENH: Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni has received a courtesy visit from the Lao Prime Minister Phankham Viphavanh on Tuesday. He has visited the King prior to his departure from the Kingdom heading back home.

Prime Minister Phankham Viphavanh has expressed condolences to the Royal Family, especially to the King over the death of his brother Prince Norodom Ranariddh on Sunday in France.

The Lao Prime Minister Phankham Viphavanh arrived in Cambodia on Monday at the invitation of Prime Minister Hun Sen.

Making sure that the visit would be fruitful, Prime Minister Phankham Viphavanh has visited senior government leaders and most of all - King Norodom Sihamoni.

He has also laid a wreath at the Independence Monument paying his respects to the late King Father Norodom Sihanouk.

It is believed that the visit of the Lao delegation to Cambodia headed by its Prime Minister is a way to further strengthening of long-standing relationship and friendship between the two nations.
